AI is coming for your job. It’s coming for mine too.

A warning sign from a CEO

I read an internal memo this week that struck a deep chord.

It was from Micha Kaufman, the CEO of Fiverr—a platform built on creative talent. The subject?

“AI is coming for your job. It’s coming for mine too.”

Even though I’ve overhauled nearly every part of my creative workflow to leverage AI—writing, designing, editing, producing, this still raised a lot of anxiety in me. Because it’s one thing to use the tools. It’s another to realize they may one day replace me entirely.

Three takeaways I gathered:

  1. Mastery is non-negotiable. If you’re just skimming the surface, you’re replaceable. If you dive deep—into craft—you create value that’s hard to automate.

  2. Radical self-initiative is the new baseline. Nobody’s coming to save you. The ones who thrive will be the ones who create their own opportunities.

  3. Becoming AI-native is survival. You don’t have to build the tools—but you better know how to dance with them.

This shift is terrifying. And exhilarating. We are standing at the edge of something vast and volatile and none of us know what the landscape will look like a year from now.

For me, I’m using every part of fear as fuel to energize and deepen my passions further. I know that passionate humans doing things they really love and are great at are a magnetizing force that cannot be replicated easily…

So, read the memo. Take a breath. Reflect.

Then ask yourself:

What would it look like to show radical initiative in your field right now?

I’m genuinely curious
